HWE Trash Rakes
HWE trash rakes are installed to provide for clearing and removal of large and heavy debris. HWE rakes are designed to be used with parallel bar screens with spacing between 1 to 2.5 inches. HWE rakes can be cable or hydraulically operated depending on the debris loading conditions.
Advantages: Over-torque protection, slack-rope detection, cable unwind protection, water-flushed scoop for optimal debris evacuation and fish survival, mobile and stationary design options, fully automatic operation available.
Applications: Coarse screening for power plants and industrial facilities using once through cooling.
